ReplyDeleteMore information about when using “said” is bad and when it’s good: http://www.writingforums.org/showthread.php?t=29553. It’s definitely not always a bad thing or a sign of laziness, as implied in the video. But I would think Joel already knows that, and was just making that naïve assumption for laughs.

ReplyDeleteThe sequel to to Pollyanna (which I think is 'Pollyanna Grows Up'. It's been a long time) uses 'ejaculated' though only once if I remember correctly.
